SALT is the Scottish Association
for Language Teaching.
Our aims are:
- To promote effective learning and teaching
of all languages in Scotland
- To provide opportunities to exchange
information, experience and good practice
for everyone concerned with language teaching
and learning
- To organise events promoting professional
development
- To give teachers a voice in expressing
their concerns, both at Scottish and UK
level
- To respond on behalf of members to official
reports and planning documents issued
by the Scottish Government Education Department, SQA, Learning and Teaching Scotland,
et al.
- To liaise with UK-national and international
agencies involved in language teaching
and learning
