SALT Poster Competition Rules  
  1. Entry is open to any individual pupil/student or group of pupils/students in any Scottish school. The age limit is up to and including 18.
  2. The use of a language other than English must feature on the entry. There should be between 30 and 100 words in total. The entry should be no bigger than A3.
  3. Entries should be sent to the SALT competition convener (see below). The following details must be clearly printed on the back of each entry: name and age of entrant, name and address of the educational establishment and the language being studied by the entrant.
  4. There will be two age categories: Primary and Secondary. We may also award a separate ICT prize this year.
  5. There will be prizes of up to £70 for winning entries and many other prizes.
  6. The closing date for the competition will be the end of June in the school year applicable. The winners will be announced at the SALT Conference in the following November where there will be an opportunity to view entries. Awards for winning entries will be made shortly afterwards. SALT regrets the entries cannot be returned. However, if requested, winning posters can be collected at the end of the SALT Conference. By entering the competition, entrants agree to their details being announced at the Conference and published in the SALT Newsletter. SALT intends to publish winning entries on its website. However, we will not publish individual pupils’ names on the website.
  7. SALT reserves the right to review the closing date and prizes. The judges’ decision is final.
